The technology is being used to gather critical information on the quality and effectiveness of eLearning programs.
Metrics that Matter™sends an electronic evaluation upon accessing or completing the learning. The system collects valuable data on customer satisfaction, learning effectiveness, quality of content, predicted performance impact on the job, linkage to real business results, and perceived value. The process continues when a follow-up instrument is deployed automatically to participants when back on the job to gauge the real usefulness of the training. A managerial instrument is also sent to get supervisory feedback.
The Metrics that Matter™ technology was seamlessly integrated with another powerful technology, the GeoLearning Learning Management System. The power of Metrics that Matter™ lies not only in the complete automation of administration but in the reporting capabilities. OPM can track, in real time, the quantified return on their financial investment in learning and compare it against a normative benchmark database.
The tool also has the ability to perform vendor management responsibilities. By tracking scores by courseware provider, OPM can identify which providers are implementing best practices and which are not. From a customer perspective the tool tracks the agency and department of the learner so OPM can understand the profile of the learner that has higher or lower quality, satisfaction, impact, and value from the learning.
