Team Lead, Technical Consultants
Job Overview
The Technical Consultant team is responsible for monitoring the Metrics that Matter® system performance as well as assisting the Product team with test plans or specifications. The team plays a key role in client integrations. This includes but is not limited to the preparation for the integration, testing, file review and maintenance.
The Team Lead, Technical Consultants will lead client integrations, mentor and coach the Technical Consultant team, create custom solutions for clients, and will be hands on with the technology (case resolution). This position will also be responsible for the daily operations of the Technical Consultant team (this includes but is not limited to: process improvement, creation and management of processes, etc). This position provides a large opportunity for growth and advancement for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily operations of the Technical Consultant team: creating & managing processes, process improvement, ensure cases are being resolved by the team within an appropriate timeframe and are of high quality, etc.
- Mentor and coach Technical Consultants to build the appropriate skill set for advancement into a Software Engineer, DBA or other advanced technical role
- Lead/Manage all client integration projects (includes overseeing project, delegation, etc)
- Monitor application performance and take action when necessary
- Aid in testing of new product releases
- Create custom solutions to meet client requirements (i.e., custom data extracts, custom offline solutions, etc.)
- Respond to technical escalations from clients
- Research technical issues for clients
- Investigate client-reported issues within the application
Key Skills, Experience & Education Needed for Success:
- Extensive software development background
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with C# & SQL
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on recent experience with SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008 & XML/XSLT
- Prior experience in a Team Lead, Lead Developer or similar role is essential
- Strong knowledge of and experience with T-SQL querying
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven experience meeting aggressive client deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Ability to adjust to changing requirements and deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study
